As different as Pop Punk and Metalcore may appear, they do belong together, and a brilliant way of merging these two genres has recently been presented by Sydney’s quartet Forever At Midnight and their Mini EP Diabolical Girl. The three-track release is a concise and dense presentation of Forever At Midnight‘s musical range. This emotional rollercoaster smoothly dashes from boppy Pop Punk to sharp-edged Metalcore with heavy screams. Although only nine minutes long, Diabolical Girl feels like a whole story and it is catchy, thrilling, and full of emotions from beginning to end.
