The Power of the Lipstick

In her latest single Friday Night, Surrey’s Natalia Pardalis sings about a hopeful night out. The mission of this nocturnal excursion is the quest for love. And sometimes, luck and coincidence need a little extra help, and thus the song’s protagonist activates a booster to increase their chances. The red lipstick, a mojo, lucky charm, and boost for confidence, shall lead this mission to success.

Friday Night is a gentle Jazz tune which smoothly caresses the listeners‘ ears and lures them towards adventure. Confident vocals and a dynamic guitar theme empower to step out of the comfort zone, and to actively seek happiness. The warm and comforting mood of the song does not only say that it is Friday, but also that this is your Friday night. Anything can happen.

The inspiration for Friday Night comes from a red umbrella which Natalia Pardalis found during the Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver in 2010. For Natalia Pardalis and her friends, this little companion became the guarantor for adventure and good things happening. As the umbrella returned to the artist in a dream during the COVID-19 lockdowns, it had to become the theme of a song. Together with Murray Yates, Natalia Pardalis realised the idea, and we can all be happy about this great Jazz tune.
