In 1962, Swiss psychologist Carl Gustav Jung published his reflective and partially autobiogtaphic work Erinnerungen, Träume, Gedanken together with Aniela Jaffé. The English translation Memories, Dreams, Reflections followed a year later. Sixty-four years later, North Carolina’s Kinsley have now released a three-track EP which is based on the concept of Jung‘s book. The duo has hereby finished their recent series of EPs which reaches from Angels over Demons and Ghosts, and now finds its ending with Humans. Heavy yet fragile soundscapes built on the foundation of post-genre styles presents a two-fold perspective: on the outer appearance and deep into the soul. Kinsley‘s music beautifully combines the performance of a tough phenotype and a hurt soul inside this shell.
