Afternoon Sister‘s first offcial release Reset E.P. begins with a five-and-a-half minute instrumental shoegazy spaghetti western. And once this heavy introduction is over, the artist from Idaho jumps right into a hazy soundscape somewhere between dream pop, shoegaze, and indie rock. Multiple layers and loops of emotional guitar music dash above a field of tension between melancholy and energy. This EP is a perfect soundtrack to the desire of letting go of all heaviness. Let us Reset, start over, and be more empathetic this time.
