The upcoming selftitled debut album by Norwegian post black metal and blackgaze one-person army is a collection of ten stories, each of them grim and cold as the Northern winter itself. With the first ex ante single Deer Cross The River, artist Gunnar Kjellsby delivers an impressive pretaste of what we can expect from this album. Not only by implementing influence from shoegaze and post rock but furthermore due to his progressive approach, Kjellsby actively pushes and redefines the borders of black metal.
