The debate on artificial intelligence in arts is hot. I am not taking extreme sides in this battle but here are some takes by MangoWave:
- I prefer human-made music (and arts)
- AI generated or AI supported arts can be great nevertheless
- we have not even seen the whole tip of the iceberg
Recently, streaming platforms such as Tidal or Qobuz have introduced AI tags. These help listeners to distinguish AI generated or AI supported music from human-made arts. I like that idea, and thus MangoWave Magazine will also feature AI tags from now on. New posts will henceforth contain either of the following tags:
- No AI: no usage of artificial intelligence
- AI supported: artificial intelligence was used in certain parts of the production process
- AI generated: fully generated by artificial intelligence
