Post Metal / Sludge
Marseille, France
MonastR let their listeners take a close look at the current chapter of the history of humankind and their home planet. As you can imagine, those are not the most jolly tales to be told. The two-track EP Of Dust And Bones deals with our species‘ habit of successfully destroying their environment and themselves. These messages from a dying world are being accompanied by heavyweight and pitch black sludge and post metal sounds in the veins of Tesa with a crusty twist à la After The Bombs. Of Dust And Bones is a stoic observation of a selfdestructive species and a sonic beast.

Metallic Hardcore / Doom Metal
Bavaria, Germany
The album title 14 15 3 20 9 19 stands for the Latin word noctis which has the same meaning as the German band name: night. This truly emotional release contains seven strains of dark thoughts, probably born from a sleepless night. nacht concern loss, fear, grief, pain, denial, and other black spots of the human soul. Music-wise, 14 15 3 20 9 19 is located somewhere in a cold shadow between post hardcore, doom, and black metal. The album’s sound reminds of a collapsing skyscraper next to a human heart.

Punk Rock
Switzerland
You can translate this album title to Plagöri have caused reason for discussions at the plenum, and you might see that it has to do with conflicts amidst left-wing and antifascist structures. Plagöri shoot against police brutality (Assigned Cool At Birth), antisemitism (Reptiloid Rimoldi), toxic masculinity (KoNsTrUkTiVi kRiTiK), and further obstacles on the road to a free society. Antifascism is a battle fought on many fronts, and Plagöri Hat Am Plenum För Diskussione Gsorgt presents a few of them. Their message is wrapped up in an easy-to-digest sound made from punk rock with the special ingredients saxophone and theremin. The revolution is here, the revolution is queer, and until it is won, we will have to fight through many discussions. Good thing, Plagöri have provided us with an empowering soundtrack.
