The Widows – Skin Of Gold (Radio Edit)

Post Punk / Indie Funk
London, England

Two weeks before they released their new album Between Two Worlds, London’s psychedelic post punkers The Widows published an edited version of album track Skin Of Gold. A bit shorter and lighter than the album version, the single edition of Skin Of Gold is a compressed ball of energy. The Widows begin with an upbeat disco funk theme which is drained in beautiful psychedelia. Then, the soundscape gently but gradually shifts towards post punk melancholia. And finally, the song’s energy explodes in a powerful and catchy indie rock chorus.

The Only Objects – An Excess Of Hauntings

Album | 28/08/2026
1:03:57 | 10 tracks | CD & Artbook / Digital
Art Rock / Experimental Rock
Adelaide, SA, Australia

South Australia’s trio The Only Objects are one of those bands who will drive genre purists crazy with their music. An Excess Of Hauntings is a one-hour freakshow of the band defying style barriers and redefining elements of alternative music. This album is a loosely connected narrative that deals connection and isolation in the postmodern world where change and sustainability fight over the future. The Only Objects present a sound that is spooky, versatile and intelligent, emotional, and dark. Following their second longplayer’s narrative from beginning to end, you will encounter several states of stability, insecurity, hopeful departure, and fear.
