Teardrops that make the Pool overflow
Two years after Scheiblettenkäse & Sehnsucht, ZweiLaster are back with twenty-three minutes of musical depression, avolition, void, and mania. The duo’s third longplayer is called wieherd which may refer to the sound of a horse (wiehern = to neigh, das Pferd wiehert = the horse neighs) or a comparison with a stove (wie ein Herd = like a stove). Orthography, semantics, syntax, or sense may have undergone some omissions here during the artistic process.
Sleepless Amdist Emptiness
Similar to the previous album, wieherd contains a dazzling mix of 80s Depro Punk, masterful minimalism, mental health issues, and medication. AK99 and Ollenixxe kick, punch, and dream thir way through a mist dream between sobriety and narcotics.
On wieherd you can spot a lot of modern-day humour and references to pop culture. Irony and minimalism mix with LoFi Punk Rock. In the end, many listeners may be very annoyed by this sound while others will love it for its low effort attitude.
