Two years ago, the Rocket Kings from Reading released their first album called Everyday Adventures. The thirteen-track longplayer did not only feature a hilarious cover artwork but also a confident presentation of ukulele-driven Britpop and Indie Rock. One track on this album, Space Camp, was dedicated to band member Bex Crossland who attended an astronaut training at NASA. Now, on the recently released sophomore album Paving the Way, the story continues. And thus, the narrative’s second part is called She’s going to Mars, and it actually contains vocal parts of Space Camp as backing vocals. Intertextuality is just beautiful! And besides being a sequel, She’s going to Mars is a powerful Uke Pop banger, a catchy tune to shake a leg or go tp space to.
