Ever since the Second World War has been over and the Cold War has begun to clasp our little blue planet, the idea of new frontier had to be redefined. Humankind is a species of explorers and pioneers. And even though many of us just want to live in peace, enjoy the weather and good food, a certain class has always lead the way of human history. From the beginning of time until present day, expansionism and colonialism have brought misery, injustice, and hardships to our world and to those who live there. And the space race has only just begun. But will the powerful be happy when they set foot on a new planet? Or will they rather bring devastation to the extraterrestial colonies, too? Belgian indie punk rockers Baïki released a new song in which they deal with the colonisation of an imaginary planet. This is the story about brutality against an indigenuous species, this is a song about human colonialism in the future, this is KosmoX.
Although the topic is dark and gloomy, the Belgian band has chosen to perform their tale in a melodic and catchy way. KosmoX is a dynamic and activating indie punk anthem. Baïki present a heavy and fast track, made for joyful moshpits and great parties. With its catchy singalong chorus, the boppy punk rock track reaches its climax. Therefore, fellow human beings raise your glasses, join the dance, and accept that our species sucks. Unless we do something about it.
