Deep Thoughts and Quirky Spinnings
Pacific North West-based singer and songwriter Minda Lacy has gathered some friends and guest musicians around herself who accompany her on eleven little tales about life. The Loneliest Bug is a Folk album that directly touches the listeners‘ hearts and minds once its sound waves pass the inner ear. It is not only because of the lyrics that are very relatable in multiple situations. Furthermore, Minda Macy has produced eleven sonic environments which invite the audience to sit down comfortably, grab a drink and dive into the gentle movement of these Folk tunes. Here are eleven little stories about life, songs about emotions and thoughts, and thoughts about emotions.
Between Campfire and the Doors of Perception
The Loneliest Bug beautifully combines two musical worlds. One the one hand, Minda Lacy produces soothing Folk that fits endless nights at bonfires or intentional aimless rides and explorational journeys. Another musical element that covibrates in the soundscapes of The Loneliest Bug is a strong influence by Summer-of-Love-era psychedelia which gives Minda Lacy a trippy and hazy atmosphere. And last but not least, traces of Jazz and Blues can be found between the lines.
Minda Lacy and her guests provide a beautiful Folk album that is down to earth and full of reveries simultaneously. And just like that, The Loneliest Bug shows life in all of its complexity, in its beauty, and in all the tiny nuances between.
