Never Mind Garage Rock…
… this is basement punk! We are here to witness the final stage of a social and musical experiment. Four garage punk musicians have been given the opportunity to perform and rehearse their music in a basement. Between dim lights, massive walls, and thirst for sunlight, Arne (drums), Benjamin (bass), Robert (guitar and backing vocals), and Claude (vocals) have constantly evolved. And now, one-and-a-half years after the release of their demo tape, Wax Minds rise from their cellar. And they brought a 23-minute report of their lives underground. Ten tracks, pressed on ten inched of vinyl. Here is the Funatic Asylum!
Raw, Snotty, Flashy
Is it phonetic, fanatic, or funtastic? The answer is yes! Funatic Asylum is a raw diamond of an album that does not need to be polished. Instead, you can embrace its beautiful nastiness, its dirty shine, its natural grace. Wax Minds perform 23 minutes of unvarnished, authentic, and spiky noise. Naughty riffs, cracking drums, and powerful vocals form a sound for excessively dancing on the ruins of our grey world. And between these sonic collapses, Wax Minds create a heavily dragging psychedelic tunnel. Dive in, dance on, enjoy the Funatic Asylum.
