Three years ago, Lower Franconian multi-instrumentalist Marc Fischer invited us to a journey towards the depths of the sea with his solo project Six Days of Calm’s first album The Ocean’s Lullaby. Now, the sophomore longplayer My Little, Safe Place is here to give us comfort and calm. The seven tracks are coined by thrilling arcs of suspense and breathtaking storytelling that does not need words to promote its emotional narrative (although the vocal contribution by circle&wind on Sorrow is stunning). This album is a perfect fit for dark and cold days as it spends warmth and courage. Six Days of Calm have created a sonic safe space and an album of cinematic range.
