When you look into the mirror what do you see? The past, the future, or the present? Probably, you will find each of these within several layers. And these overlays especially can form a fog which stands between the person outside the mirror, the reflection inside, and the plain glass between. Working on her new album Obsidian, Munich’s Juley has released the single The Mirror in which she deals with a deep look into the self. Who was I, who do I want to be, and who am I now? Change, development, transition can all be tough, and this is what this empowering indie and folk rock song reminds us of.
