Versus The World
It is not by accident that the first headline is the title of probably the greatest album ever released by Amon Amarth. Not only do Death Reapers members Hubert (lead guitar), Konrad (vocals), and Filip (bass) name the Swedish band as one of their main musical influences. Furthermore, there is a significant thematic parallel between Versus The World and Thirst For Chaos. Both albums deal with situations in which people find themselves struggling in many ways; as if the whole world had turned against them.
A Fresh Wind
Now, this introduction is no accusation of Death Reapers coyping Amon Amarth; not at all. Instead, Thirst Fo Chaos conveys a different approach to the topic. Death Reapers throw their listeners into a position with their back to the wall. Conflicts, inner struggles, pressure, overwhelming emotions push from outside and inside simultaneously. There is only one way out, and that is by exploding, raging, storming. Thirst For Chaos is the soundtrack for this liberating explosion.

Rising Amidst A Thunderstorm
Death Reapers are a young band from Przytoczna, Poznań, and Gniezno in Poland. On their first longplayer Thirst For Chaos, they present a contemporary, heavy, sharp, and emotional form of melodic death metal. This album is born from contrasts, with monsters of riffs on the one hand and polyphonic melodies on the other. Thirst For Chaos deals with pressure, negativity, and darkness as well as Death Reapers utter an encouraging and empowering message on their debut album. The longplayer is an anthem for fighting one’s way back to the light.
