Together their guest musicians, Deserts of Mars serve a diverting sonic cocktail that reaches from the darkness of a black hole to the light beams of an exploding star, and from hellfire heat to the endless cold of vast space. Somewhere between Stoner and Alternative Metal, sometimes close to Doom or Industrial Metal, the sound called Mars Metal connects Martian soil with the emptiness of space.
