Leaving The Martian Orbit
Ukrainian band Orbstruct has named their first two full-length releases after the sons of war god Mars, or after the eponymous satellites of planet Mars. The two albums Phobos Rising (May 2019), and Deimos Falling (September 2021) were followed by the bitter reality of an actual war which made Orbstruct leave their home and relocate to neighbouring Poland. Here, they forged a new sonic chapter of their band history. Defying resignation and stagnation, Orbstruct are back with their third album Ostracism.
Out Of The Mental Labyrinth
When Orbstruct began to work on their third longplayer it should become a deep embrace of solitude. But when the band began exploring the deeper spheres of their souls they found themselves in a dilemma. Between heavy pressure from the outside and deep darkness on the inside, they have maneuvred themselves into a trap of despair and emptiness. Here, all you can hear are screams. And that is exactly what Ostracism has become: a cry from the void, a message from within the chasm, but also a beacon from amidst deepest darkness. Ostracism is an expression of fear alongside the hope to find anyone else trapped in the same chasm.

Into The Flames
Ostracism is a merciless display of musical brutality. Orbstruct create infernal hot death metal, spice it up with some black metal influence and fuel it up with intelligent changes in metre and tempo. Finally, the impressively low pitch of the vocals and the bloodthirsty heaviness of the instrumental section turn Ostracism into an eruption of hellfire and agony. Orbstruct reflect and express the darkness and the pain that has increased since 2022, and they present a beast of an extreme metal album. This longplayer screams resilience.
We will dance again
