Six very short reviews.
People Hate Each Other – The Next Chapter
(Album | 07/09/2022 | Love Records)
It is no big news that Punk Rock and the related spheres have become self-sufficient country clubs ruled by an autosexual elite just like many other subcultural spheres. People Hate Each Other from Florence are here to punch those dicks. Sure, the sound on „The Next Chapter“ reminds of Rancid a lot, but this Ska Punk album sure is a party banger.
Darvaza Wave – Bastion Knights
(EP | 19/12/2022 | Independent)
Darzava Wave take their listeners on a mind-expanding journey that begins at the cold shores of the Scandinavian fjordlands and finds its final destination at Attavyros mountain in Greece after passing by the coldest and most thrilling spheres. It is the exciting clash of dark Alternative Rock and opulent EBM or Darkwave that makes the sound of this EP so electrifying.
Out of Contest – Great Silence
(Single | 03/01/2023 | Independent)
Roman artist Stefano Marchitiello has summoned drummer Fab Darmini, sound engineer Federico Lodi, and the vocalists Simone Cavazzuti and Iolanda Diana. Together, they have created some sonic sunshine in the form of Synth Pop and Indie Rock. The single ‚Great Silence‘ is here to give you a good time.
BIAS – Amsterdam
(Single | 10/01/2023 | Independent)
Imola’s rapper BIAS provides some deep stream-of-consciousness content for his listeners. The new single ‚Amsterdam‘ makes the audience comprehend a typical rock-bottom situation. The glitchy and trippy production of the beat emphasizes this impression.
Umberto Bravo – Sacred Sinner
(Single | 14/01/2023 | Independent)
‚Sacred Sinner‘ is about love and sex. If it was not for one of the two people already being in a committed relationship, it would be a boring story, but it is thus a spicy one. The gentle and souly Pop tune reminds of a snuggly adaption of Dante Thomas‚ ‚Miss California‘.
Gae Vinci – My favorite Color
(Single | 20/01/2023 | BLOODONTHETRACKS)
Gae Vinci from Milan has hereby released his very single which will be featured on his debut album later this year. It is a thick Folk ballad that features the voice of American singer Cosette Gobat. The misty sound moves in sepia waves between Folk Rock and Shoegaze while leiszrely walking forward.
