One of the longest periods between two Spacelords albums ever has finally ended. Almost three years have gone by since the Swabian trio has released their eigth longplayer Nectar Of The Gods. And now, the flagship of Krefeld’s Tonzonen Records is taking their cosmic travelers on an enterprise to the holy spheres of our solar system’s seventh planet. Upgraded Ship and Crew
The Spacelords keep true to their successful formula. Yet, Uranus Omnibus Sanctus contains some upgraded features. Recent longplayer Nectar Of The Gods already broke with the golden rule of three tracks, and The Spacelords‘ ninth album also contains four tracks. Furthermore, the opening of the first track immediately reveals a 70s rock-like heaviness which covibrates with the album’s krauty, trippy space rock sound. Of course, Hazi, Mudge, and Aki still enchant our ears with beautiful cosmic sounds. Third track Whales is probably the best example for the classic Spacelords sound. But their space rock has reached a stronger emphasis on the word rock. And one of the reasons for this development may be the heavy organ sound contributed by guest musician Didi Holzner.

The Spacelords might be the most competent spaceship crew on this side of the sun. For many years, an unbreakable bond of friendship, curiosity, and joy has hold the three Swabian musicians together. And in times like these, Uranus Omnibus Sanctus is the album we all need. The enterprise to our solar system’s ice giant is a powerful source for hope, meditative force, and inner peace. Containing some of the bands’s heaviest sounds so far, Uranus Omnibus Sanctus tells of resilience, recovery, and unity.
