Unholy Sounds From The Abyss
In Poland’s North-East, between the Mazurian Lakes, Kaliningrad, Lithuania, and Belarus, you can find the 61,000-residents town of Ełk. The town was home to physicist Kurt Symanzik, transfusion physician Walter Brandstädter, and opera director Reinhard Schau. But in the first half of 2023, something has formed amidst the fogs of Mazuria. It is the unholy trinity consisting of Prophet (drums), Preacher (guitar), and Reverend Pest (bass and vocals). Together they are VomitvsanctvS, and they have just finished their prophecy’s first volume. This is Secretion of Contempt.
Eight Plagues
Fo a bit more than half an hour, and on VomitvssanctvS cause havoc and spit venom. Merciless Thrash and Death Metal (with an emphasis on the latter) plow through the album and leave nothing behind but smoke and rubble. Hails of steel thunder from the drumset and pair with a bone-dry bass. The guitar chops and whips through the air with painful blows, and the vocals are pure acid etching deep into the auditory canals.
Secretion of Contempt is an overwhelmingly venomous Death and Thrash Metal album, and it is most certainly a powerful and promising debut release.
