The Polaroid Buffalo Club was founded in the year 2019. In the beginning, Kostas Miliaras was the club’s only member but nevertheless combined the elements sunshine (Polaroid) and American-style music (Buffalo) with guitar and vocals. Cool clubs become popular and thus, people want to join. Hence, the Polaroid Buffalo Club grew while three new members joined. Therefore, the Athenian club has become a band – a quartet to be precise by the accession of Dimitris Kalonaros (drums), Vasilis Gakis (bass) and Giorgos Papakostas (organ). Ths line-up has recently recorded and released the second Polaroid Buffalo Club longplayer „B-Movie Sundown“.
Ice Cream, Sunshine, and Sweet Melancholy
The sound on „B-Movie Sundown“ contains so much musical sunshine, you may want to apply sunscreen to your earlobes. Surf Rock merges with Psychedelic Indie Pop while the soundscape tastes like sandy beaches, overpriced ice cream and pure passion. The mental cinema that is projected here uses vintage film reels and is presented in pastel shades. Melancholy and nostalgia meet adventurous spirit and the desire for a holiday at the beach.
