On their sophomore album, Ohio’s Gothic Doom furtherly explores the spheres of dark and eschatologian sounds. Therefore, a various soundscape that reaches from gloomy slow jams to high speed psychedelic metal attacks has emerged. Despite its incoherence, the album shows that Hope Hole are about to find their very own sound.

Noxium Ferus are here to raise hell, and they probably have the legitimation to do so. At least, we know that they have been Dickslapped by the Devil. And thus, on almost 45 minutes, the Norwegian presents their raw Death Metal that is decorated with some highspeed Black Metal blasts, a horror atmosphere and an overall satisfying sound.

The good thing is that Heavy and Power Metal will never run out of tales and narratives for their songs because they can always produce new anthems for the genres themselves. And thus, here Canadian Odinfist with their Metal hommage to Metal. The album is entertaining in its self-ironic way but lacks sustainability or unique features.

The first longplayer by Dortmund’s Kurschatten could not have been timed better as it fits perfectly in the current wave of Coldwave, Post Punk and Depro Punk that rolls across the globe. The band brings back the sound of legendary bands like Chaos Z and stirs them up in a modern way. A cold vortex of pastel black opens and drags the listeners into a lightless moshpit.

TIDAN – Sober

Even though the chorus might raise the assumption, this is not a party track. Pop Punk artist TIDAN provides us with a powerful song about trying to drown own’s pain. This track proves that Pop Punk can indeed be rough and dynamic, too.
