Welcome…
… to the crazy world of Sacred Buzz. The Berlin-based band has previously released a single (Radio Radiation / Rebel Machine | 28/08/2024) and an EP (Radio Radiation | 01/11/2024), and now they present their first longplayer. This selftitled is a powerful announcement of a band that is here to stay. Sacred Buzz kick in the doors and make themselves comfortable between the listeners’ inner ears and their subconsciousness. Born somewhere in another surreal dimension, Sacred Buzz are here to play beautiful games with our perception.
Heavy Waves and Thick Haze
The sound performed on Sacred Buzz combines the stoic movement of krautrock with intense (neo-)psychedelia and rough garage rock edges. Between these heavy psych sounds, hazy tunes such as the track Down And Out amplify the dreamy atmosphere of the album. This is some serious ethereal noise which merges elements from the summer of love with late 20th century gloom and a modern twist.
Sacred Buzz is hypnotic, meditative, and yet dynamic. It is an album coined by some heavy psychedelia on the foreground. Once, one dares to enter that beautiful fog, gorgeous details flicker and sparkle from everywhere. Some examples for these hidden gems are the flute played by Andrea Mirabella on Simulation, or Mauro Retamales‘ congas on the final track Trapped Inside The Dream. And there is so much more to discover. Thus, Sacred Buzz feels like a thrilling exploration of an unknown world over and over again.
