In 2024, former members of bands such as Surf Nazis Must Die, Hall, UV Glaze, Noem, and Herpes joined forces and formed the current line-up of Sex Beat. On Midsummer of 2025, the a new album has already been published. These musicians are definitely ambitioned and know what they are doing. Risen from the dirty underground of Germany’s capital, reaching for the stars of punk rock heaven, here are Gabor Gold, Florian Pühs, Rosa Merino Claros, and Jonas Reinhardt.
Don’t Call It Nostalgia!
For twenty-one minutes, Sex Beat shake their listeners with their raw force made from punk and garage rock. You will find plenty of traces and influence from at least half a century of punk rock history on Crack. But this is not about the „good old times“ or shedding tears of nostalgia. On the contrary, Sex Beat masterfully show what the difference between passing on the ashes and keeping the fire burning is. This sound is alive, it is wild, raw, active, untameable, and charming. And like this, Sex Beat jump, kick, explode, and swirl to shake off all dust. If you are looking for a great time, for sweat-inducing parties, and for motivation, Crack (the album!) is what you need.
