Raunacht Sessions
The twelve nights after Christmas are called Raunächte in Southern Germany and parts of Austria and Switzerland, and some other Christian regions in Europe. In these harsh nights as they can be translated, spirits and ghosts wander around. Thus, many people evade the cold outside, do not hang out laundry, and and basically let the ghosts do their thing. WuZeTian did not disturb the ghosts either because during the Raunächte in 2023, the five musicians from Achern gathered at their rehearsal room where they recorded their first longplayer alles lebt alles stirbt (German: everything lives, everything dies). Before, the band which was formed in 2011, has released an eight-track demo in 2012, and the 7“ Split fin de siècle with Strasbourg’s Uwaga.
Of Grey Circles
WuZeTian scream and bluster against the cold of the post-industrial reality. The six tracks deal with heteronomy in late capitalism, with the rise of populism, with trust and concealment, and with the desire to keep fighting for the future that has long been lost for eternity. Between anger, desolation and resilience, a raw and honest sound is born. You can refer to 80s Hardcore, to more contemporary Metallic Hardcore or to Screamo when trying to categorise the sound on alles lebt alles stirbt.
180 Unique Records
The vinyl edition is limited to 180 copies and each one of them is a unique piece as they come with a little gimmick. Apart from that, the beautiful coloured disc comes with a booklet, and an indeed artistic cover artwork. Records like this are one of the main reasons why analog releases are such a great thing. And when the needle kisses the vinyl, unpolished and autochthonous Screamo pleases the ears of DIY fans.
