Towards the Suns
In 2020, Pfungstadt’s Giants Dwarfs and Black Holes released their album Everwill which was then published on vinyl and CD via Interstellar Smoke Records and Galactic Smokehouse. Everwill was featured on the old MangoWave page, so feel free to read. But be aware that soundwise, the band from Southern Hesse has made some serious progress and development. Thus, here is the new Giants Dwarfs and Black Holes sound that was born In a Sandbox full of Suns:
Vast Space and Stunning Infinity
On their previous album, certain tendecies towards Doom Metal and Heavy Rock sustainably coined the soundscape. Nevertheless, In a Sanbox full of Suns marks a new direction in the songwriting of Giants Dwarfs and Black Holes. The impact by 1970s Prog Rock and Psychedelic Rock has increased by a lot. This can be spotted in the songs‘ structures, the general mood of the album and the coluring of the sonic tales on it. Thus, In a Sandbox full of Suns is the most grown up product by the band so far, and it might be the longplayer that helps them into the Prog charts.
