32:25 | 9 tracks | Digital
Indie Folk / Americana
Los Angeles, CA, USA
Here is the perfect soundtrack for the lives of those who feel like they are stuck on second place eternally, the talented on-lookers, those who show up for the parties but always miss the great dances. Wayne Whittaker, sole member of Pigeon Club, present nine tracks crammed with self-irony, melancholy, sadness, and bits of empowerment and pride. Folk Rock that speaks of freedom and chances comes together with modern class consciousness on this deeply moving album.

Between Daze – I Might
Single | 13/06/2024

Garage Rock / Alternative Rock
Baltimore, MD, USA
Prophets of honest, autochthonous and solid independent music Between Daze enchant us with a hypnotising new banger. The catchy grinding riff is raw and comforting simultaeously as it gently caresses the listeners‘ minds and moves their feet. On top, there those outstanding vocals that invite to a joyful sing-along.
Jodi Heights – Black Bird (The Beatles Cover)

Jazz / Alternative Pop
Boston, MA, USA
A cover version of a classic like The Beatles‚ 1968 song Blackbird demands special treatment, and the version by Boston’s Jodi Heights is an outstanding example of how one can master such an operation. By transposing the song’s key so it is played with the black notes of the piano exclusively, and by breaking the time signature so it contains an uneven number, the artist creates allegories to the eponymous bird’s feathers and to the image of broken wings. Finally, the realisation of this Jazz Pop tune is as artistic as its concept, as Jodi Heights touches the audience with her composition, piano play, and stunning vocals.
