Love and Pain
Those who tell you that love was easy, have obviously never been in love. But amongst the many stories that have been told about the wicked game, some are more painful than others. For example, Greek god Apollon once fell in love with Spartan boy Ὑάκινθος (Hyacinth). Unfortunately, he accidentally killed the young mortal with a discus which led to eternal grief. The story told in the song Hyacinth by Orlando’s Kreajours is about a young man who falls in love with a prostitute, and then falls into sadness due to the onesidedness of this relationship.
But sad stories make the greatest arts, and thus Hyacinth is a stunning track that combines thick and hazy Shoegaze of the heavy kind with mind-expanding Psychedelic Rock. Kreajours drag the listeners into a deep vortex of numbness until the pain is over.
