Following thei debut longplayer Black, Sweden’s The Killing Tapes broke fresh ground by releasing a trilogy of EPs. It is the Falling Down series which began with its yellow episode in December 2022, continued with Blue in March 2023, and got finalised with the EP on hand. With this three-fold series of releases, The Killing Tapes have shown how their songwriting and performance has developed over such short period of time. Falling Down (Red) is an emotional, personal and reflected six-track release that combines the chaos of our post-modern world with the mind’s desire for peace, and the melancholy that is born in the buffer zone. Atmospheric and sensual New Wave meets Dream Pop, and amidst this synthy soundscape, The Killing Tapes‚ most powerful release (so far) invites the listeners to a 27-minute salutogenetic session.
