Legendary Norwegian band Darkthrone have successfully influenced the world of extreme metal for for decades. The year 2026 is thus a great time for the release of a big tribute sampler. Norway’s Antichrist Magazine presents a collection of seventeen tracks performed by musicians from ten countries. Each of the songs was exclusively recorded for this special occasion.

This compilation is proof for the immortality of Darkthrone‘s music. The duo has left everlasting footprints in the spheres of death metal, black metal, crust, punk, heavy metal, and they have sustainably forged their very own sound. And now, we have this great collection of tracks by bands who were influenced by Darkthrone and celebrate the band’s fortieth anniversary with us. A Tribute To Darkthrone contains cover version of tracks originally featured on the following albums:
